Sleepee Teepee Events agrees that, in line with Government legislation and guidance, business activities should only take place where we can establish social distancing, safe systems of work, and suitable protection measures for clients and staff, and good disinfecting procedures for equipment.
All payments must be made electronically in order to comply with the non-contact guidance that is currently advised.
Use of the hire equipment must be for the householder and five other people. This means that no more than six people may be present in the household for the entire duration of the party, (for the purpose of the policy, we call this the social bubble). Where customers are found in breach of this, Sleepee Teepee Events reserve the right to immediately arrange collection of the equipment.
So as to comply with and ensure social distancing, where tents are hired for individuals from more than one household, there must be a one meter distance between these tents.
Tent hire must not be moved after installation.
Cross contamination between households will be eliminated by introducing a rest period of 72 hours between hire and additional cleaning before and after use.
Adequate PPE, namely gloves and a mask, will be worn on delivery, set-up and collection by staff from Sleepee Teepee Events.
Equipment will be thoroughly cleaned / disinfected before it can be rehired. (Please refer to our Method statement for additional notes on cleaning).
Soft furnishings that cannot be washed at 60 degrees or steam cleaned will not be included in the packages.
Bedsheets, duvets, duvet covers, blankets and mattress protectors cushion covers, cushion protectors and rugs provided for the sleepover, will be washed and placed in a fastened bag 72 hours prior to delivery.
Customers must supply their own pillows and pillowcases.
Bedsheets, duvets, duvet covers, blankets and mattress protectors must be stripped by the client and placed in a fastened bin bag ready for collection. The client must also place the duvets in a fastened bin bag ready for collection.
The customer must notify Sleepee Teepee Events, in advance of delivery, if there are any members of the household or social bubble who have tested positive for Covid 19 or are presenting with symptoms in the run up to hire or during hire.
Sleepee Teepee Events will also notify the client if at any point any members of our household become unwell with any symptoms of COVID-19 and reserve the right to cancel the hire if this situation arises. This policy is in addition to the standard risk assessment and terms of hire which must be agreed to prior to hire.
All party planners at Sleepee Teepee Events have undertaken an accredited Infection Control and Prevention course before following this Method Statement.
COSHH Assessment Not applicable – no hazardous substances will be used during the set up or dismantling of the equipment.
All party planners at Sleepee Teepee Events will be aware of Risk Assessments.
Distribution of Information
Method Statement will be sent to: Customer.
Necessary arrangements should be made by the customer to ensure that there is a clear path to the site of installation. There should be no one working / walking in the immediate vicinity of the designated area.
The client shall ensure that there is adequate parking space directly outside of the delivery area. Where this is not possible, the hirer should contact Sleepee Teepee Events to advise prior to installation.
It is the homeowner’s responsibility to inform neighbours where access to the property is shared.
Delivery / Unloading / Distribution
Equipment will be delivered in contained packaging to protect it against damage and contamination.
All items will be off-loaded by hand and temporarily situated in the immediate vicinity of the work area, taking care to avoid any damage to the products and surrounding area.
After unloading, items will be distributed to their individual areas provided.
It is the client’s responsibility to book the equipment to allow for the 72 hour rest period before use.
The area designated for the installation should be clear from any debris and or furniture Each mattress will be placed on the ground with at least 1m clearance at the exit areas.
The bedsheets, duvet, duvet covers, blankets and mattress protectors will be taken from the sealed packaging and placed onto the mattresses (where preferred, the client can do this).
A-Frames (tents) will be taken from the packaging and placed securely over the mattresses.
Lights, bunting and trays will be arranged between the tents making sure that adequate space is left at the exit areas
The customer will ensure that all bedsheets, duvets, duvet covers, blankets and mattress protectors are removed and placed in the bin liners provided. The bin liners must be sealed prior to collection.

Cleaning of equipment between hires
Sleepee Teepee Events will ensure that bedsheets, duvets, duvet covers, blankets, mattress protectors, cushion covers, cushion protectors and rugs are washed at 60 degrees, with an additional antibacterial laundry cleanser added to the wash.
Soft furnishings that can't be washed will receive a sanitising steam wash, followed by antibacterial spray.
Tent covers will be washed at 40 degrees with an additional antibacterial laundry cleanser, before being steam cleaned.
All accessories will be cleaned with an antibacterial spray / wipes.
Housekeeping / Waste Disposal
We would reasonably expect working areas to be clear of debris prior to our work commencing.
Our company will endeavour to maintain a clear working area and remove any of our own waste.
Any bin liners / bags used for bedding will be first placed in a separate, uncontaminated bag, sealed and then disposed of (duty of care to the Refuse Collection Team).
