Sleepee Teepee Events agrees that, in line with Government guidance, business activities should only take place where we can establish safe systems of work, and suitable protection measures for customers, and good disinfecting procedures for equipment.
All payments must be made electronically to comply with the non-contact guidance that is currently advised.
Tent hire is only to be used in one room within the household and should not be moved between rooms after installation.
Cross-contamination between households will be eliminated by introducing a rest period of 72 hours between hire and additional cleaning before and after use.
Equipment will be thoroughly cleaned/disinfected before it can be rehired. (Please refer to the Method statement for additional notes on cleaning).
Soft furnishings that can’t be washed will be treated with an antibacterial spray.
Bedsheets, blankets and mattress protectors provided for the sleepover, will be washed and placed in a fastened bag 72 hours before delivery.
Customers must supply their own pillows and pillowcases and duvets. Cushions supplied by Sleepee Teepee Events are not to be used as a substitute for a pillow by the customer.
The client must notify Sleepee Teepee Events, in advance of delivery, if any members of the household have tested positive for Covid 19 or are presenting with symptoms in the run-up to hire or during the hire.
Sleepee Teepee Events will also notify the client if at any point any member of our household becomes unwell with any symptoms of COVID-19, and reserve the right to cancel the hire if this situation arises.
This policy is in addition to the standard risk assessment and terms of hire which must be agreed to before the hire.
All party planners at Sleepee Teepee Events have undertaken an accredited Infection Control and Prevention course before following this Method Statement.
COSHH Assessment Not applicable – no hazardous substances will be used during the setup or dismantling of the equipment.
All party planners at Sleepee Teepee Events will be aware of Risk Assessments.

Access
Necessary arrangements should be made by the customer to ensure that there is a clear path to the site of installation.
The client shall ensure that there is adequate parking space directly outside of the delivery area. Where this is not possible, the hirer should contact Sleepee Teepee Events to advise before installation.
It is the homeowner’s responsibility to inform neighbours where access to the property is shared.
Delivery / Unloading / Distribution
Equipment will be delivered in contained packaging to protect it against damage and contamination.
All items will be off-loaded by hand and temporarily situated in the immediate vicinity of the work area, taking care to avoid any damage to the products and surrounding area.
It is the client’s responsibility to book the equipment to allow for the 72-hour rest period before use.
Installation
The area designated for the installation should be clear from any debris and or furniture.
If the client has opted for a Sleepee Teepee Events setup then the room must be well ventilated and absent of anyone from the household during installation.
Mattresses will be delivered covered and already made-up with mattress protectors and bed sheets.
Each mattress will be placed on the ground with at least 1 metre clearance at the exit areas.
The blankets will be taken from the sealed bag and placed onto the mattresses (please refer to the self-setup instructions).
A-Frames (tents) will be placed securely over the mattresses (please refer to our self-setup instructions).
Lights, bunting, trays and rugs will be arranged between the tents making sure that there is at least a 1metre clearance at the exit areas (please refer to the self-setup instructions).
Collection
Equipment must be placed in the bags provided. The contents of the bags must be sprayed with antibacterial spray and then sealed before collection.
Necessary arrangements should be made by the client to ensure that there is a clear path to the site of collection. There should be no one working / walking in the immediate vicinity of the designated area.
Cleaning of equipment between hires
Sleepee Teepee Events will ensure that bedsheets, mattress protectors, cushion covers and rugs are washed at 40 degrees, with an additional antibacterial laundry cleanser added to the wash.
Soft furnishings that can’t be washed will be treated with an antibacterial spray.
Tent covers will be washed at 40 degrees with an additional antibacterial laundry cleanser. and/or antibacterial spray.
All accessories will be cleaned with an antibacterial spray/wipes.
